Trier
This year the „ZOOM – Kids on the Move“ – campaign took place in Trier again. However, in 2014 already from 14th to 18th July. Local Agenda 21 Trier and the ADD Trier called on schools and kindergartens to participate.
The two day-care centers St. Martin and Christuskirche as well as the six primary schools Feyen, Trier-Irsch, Quint, St.Peter in Ehrang, Grundschule am Biewerbach and Keune-Grundschule followed this call with around 850 children.
On 23 July after the action week, all institutions involved met at the basilica forecourt and celebrated the proud result of 9,208 Green Footprints which had been collected by the 851 children in only one week.
As reward for the children’s commitment, the German Sport University Cologne has prepared a demanding bicycle course, including a surprise: BMX specialist Axel Reichertz showed the children some of his tricks.
Worms
This year, Worms participated for the third time in the “Kids on the Move” campaign.
129 participants of the children’s circus Piccolo attended during their summer holidays.
They collected 787 green footprints.
Amongst them there were:

Scooters: 62
Light Bulbs: 84
The little climate protectors wrote their personal wishes for the future on colourful cardboard footprints as a message to the politicians.
