Bensheim

At Hemsbergschule 270 pupils collected 5,370 Green Footprints for better climate.
Their crafted Footprints with their wishes to climate politicians in Lima were glued on a large paper roll and initially are hung up at the façade of the school yard, later inside the school.

Dieburg

Here, from 14th to 18th July, the primary schools Gutenbergschule and Marienschule collected 5,894 green, red and blue footprints.

Furthermore there has been installed a “walking bus” at Marienschule so that children and parents will be kept invited to walk or go by bicycle.

Fürth im Odenwald

Here, Müller-Guttenbrunn-Schule participated for the first time this year.
All in all, they collected 2,438 green footprints with 17 classes in their climate protection week in May.
Class 3b contributed additional 736 green footprints from May to October.
Each class had an introduction and initiation lesson with the picture book “But… I am faster!”a modern adaptation of the fairy tale Hare and Hedgehog by Andrea Merten.

Gudensberg-Obervorschütz

Regularly, at the beginning of each school year, the primary school Obervorschütz hosts it’s “Green Footprint – Week”.
This year, at the beginning of October, the nearly 100 pupils collected 866 green, 58 blue and 138 red footprints.

Additionally, we have received cool politician footprints from them.

Heppenheim

Already for the sixth time the primary schools in Heppenheim Christophorusschule Hambach, Eichendorffschule Kirschhausen, Konrad-Adenauer-Schule, Nibelungenschule and Schloss-Schule, as well as for the first time the „Starkenburg Gymnasium“ participated in the “Kids on the move”-campaign.
The pupils were proud to collect 11,856 green footprints.

Langenselbold

The school „Schule an der Gründau“ in Langenselbold announced it’s collection week on 30th September in the street at it’s “Good in Walking Action Day”.

The local coordinator wrote:

“Since 2003 we had been blocking the narrow streets in front of our school building in

order to point out to our needs with drums, raps, cool selfmade songs and dances. In

the week before that we documented with the help of the collection books in 13 classes

from 1st to 4th grade 2,989 green footprints. The collecting and carry traffic was nearly

disrupted. Almost every pupils participated in this action.”

Offenbach

This year, in the primary school Bieber 3,735 green footprints were collected.
But also boys and girls from primary school Buchhügel were out as young climate protesters and collected 3,125 green footprints for global climate in the action week from 22nd to 28th September.
On Wednesday 9 pupils of the 4th grade of primary school Buchhügel handed over the collected footprints to mayor Peter Schneider at the town hall and by doing that they documented: “We little people do something! And you big people, what do you do?” Together with the footprints they handed over self-made green paper board footprints on which the children collected their wishes and demands to the climate politicians.

Sulzbach im Taunus

The 150 children of this year’s holiday games again had been extremely mobile this year – and this also very climate friendly. During their numerous activities, they collected 3,401 green footprints. Like last year, the holiday games children from Sulzbach again had taken over a role model function regarding mobility behavior, which some of their parents could learn from.
