FRIEDRICHSDORF
In Friedrichsdorf, as has been the case for many years, people collected diligently and recorded the results on fantastic mileage posters. The children from Burgholzhausen Primary School (2,473 footprints), Hardtwaldschule Seulberg (4,003 footprints ), Peter-Härtling-Schule (3,066 footprints ) and Kita Wirbelwind (367 footprints ) took part in 2025.
It is wonderful that the children from Friedrichsdorf are so actively involved in the Children's Miles campaign. With every step they collect, they show that even the youngest among us can make an important contribution to protecting our climate. The Kindermeilen collected in Friedrichsdorf will also travel to the UN Climate Change Conference in Belém – meaning that the efforts of the children from Friedrichsdorf are helping to combat climate change on an international level.
Offenbach
Here, too, a large-scale collection was organised, involving 2,580 children from 11 institutions. Together, they collected a total of 23,661 miles – a fantastic result. Many thanks to all the little climate protectors in Offenbach!
We would also like to thank all their supporters in the schools and in the city administration, especially for giving the institutions another opportunity to present their individual campaigns during a closing event on the morning of 31 October at the Eichendorffschule. In addition, there will be an award ceremony for particularly committed classes, who will receive a guided tour of SCAPE, an interactive exhibition on weather and climate located in the middle of the pedestrian zone.
VIERNHEIM
In Viernheim, young climate protectors from several institutions will once again be busy in 2025. The nearly 300 children in 15 classes at the Schillerschule Viernheim have collected a total of 3,001 green miles, or about 10 per child. Further campaigns added another 85 red and 51 blue energy-saving miles.
