Presentation of Green Footprint Results 2025 in Belém at the 30. UN Climate Summit

On November 17, at the UN Climate Summit in Belém, Climate Alliance presented the Green Footprints from 2025 to the UNFCCC Climate Secretariat again.

Thanks to the active support of UN Youth Delegates, Climate Alliance was also able to present the results of the Green Footprints Campaign 2025 to Noura Hamladji, Deputy Head of the UN Climate Secretariat, at the 30th UN Climate Summit in Belém. She received the collected miles with great enthusiasm and sent a strong message to the children who had participated in the campaign: 
[…] I encourage you to do more, to be the champions, with your friends, with your teachers, with your parents, we are with you, the UN Climate Change is with you and we need you. You’re doing a fantastic work, thank you [...]!" 

Barbara Wassen, climate ambassador from the Hungarian Ministry of Energy, explained a little more about what the children's actions looked like in concrete terms, presenting a leporello of results and expressing her delight at the fantastic outcomes achieved there. She emphatically added that the campaign is also about giving children a voice, as the negotiations are about their future.

Andreas Wolter, President of the Climate Alliance, reported on his most memorable experiences with the young climate activists at the first Green Footprints presentation in Belém: "It is incredibly motivating to see children from across Europe participate in the Green Footprints campaign year after year. What is especially inspiring is how they take part. While adults often frame climate action as a challenge to overcome, children approach it with pragmatism and positivity – for them, it is a promise. We have so much to learn!" 

The Austrian UN Youth Delegates Valentin Chavanne and Benedicta Opis were even more specific in their short video message to all campaign participants: “... we are here at the UN Climate Change Conference to pass on your message to the conference. ... thank you very much for the collected footprints – you're showing the adults how we can do it!” 

Austrian Federal Minister for the Environment and Climate Protection Norbert Totschnig also took time for the Green Footprints campaign and explicitly thanked all climate protectors from Austria.
